The family house in T\u00fcbingen provides the families of children with cancer a special supervised residence. While their children are in the hospital, the house serves the families as a \u201chome away from home\u201d. The family house, not only cares for parents, but also the patients\u2019 siblings. Having the family nearby supports children with cancer in their healing process and provides relief for the families. The family house is sponsored by the foundation F\u00f6rderverein f\u00fcr krebskranke Kinder T\u00fcbingen e.V.<\/p>\n
With its comprehensive range of psychological and social assistance, the foundation supports families of children with cancer in their difficult situation. In order to best serve the children and their family members during the time spent in the hospital, families can use the recently renovated family house among other offerings. The house on Hallstattstra\u00dfe in T\u00fcbingen was just reopened in October. It has seven rooms, two kitchens and a community living room.<\/p>\n
As part of the renovation project for the house, SHS sponsored the complete refurnishing of two rooms for parents. Mandy Winkler from SHS provided the donation to Horst Simschek from F\u00f6rderverein f\u00fcr krebskranke Kinder T\u00fcbingen e.V.<\/p>\n
